Masters of the straightman/clown connection, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello obtained nationwide acknowledgement by performing vaudeville routines. Their classic baseball schedule known as "Who's On First?" became synonymous with the pair, and a recording was sent to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1956. It was also selected as the routine of the millennium by Time. An early radio recording of the routine was placed in the Selection of Congress' National Documenting Records in 2003. In 2005, the line "Who's On First?" was provided among the American Film Institute's record of 100 unforgettable film quotations.
